We are Open Arms Ministries

  ~  We are not looking to make a name for ourselves, but to lift up the precious name of Jesus Christ.

~  We are a small part of what God is doing in these last days.

~  We are in love with the Word of God and desire to walk in the whole counsel of God.

~  We are, we desire, we welcome the working of the gifts of the Spirit, not for self-gratification but for the edifying of the body of Christ and not detached from the fruit of the Spirit.

What Is Our Plan?

The only plan we have is to seek the face of God for every step we take and move in love and faith.

The direction that we sense God has given:

~  Take care of the people God is placing with us.

~  Have the burden of the Lord for the lost.

~  New believers must be discipled and led by the hand.

We have no other plan but to submit humbly to the will of God for our lives and to submit one to another in the fear of God.

What Is Our Purpose?

  ~  Our purpose is not to start a new work but to be partakers of the work already going on in the church, the body of Christ.

~   Our purpose is to, with the strength of God, to take up the slack where others have possibly have failed or did not have the resources.

~   The purpose of everything we do is to glorify God and to build up the body of Christ.  Everybody is important, the ground is level at the cross.

~   Our purpose is to make a statement to the world, not to the church but with the church.  Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.

Ephesian 4:1-15

4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

9(Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

Galatians 5:13-26

13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
